THANK YOU
This is the first blog hop in which I have participated, and I am immensely grateful to the organizers for inviting me. Not being a techie person, I am usually loathe to join such festivities because I get so bogged down in the “paste this code here” and “imbed such and such” and my poor little grey cells became very confused.
I certainly had my moments, but my goodness, what an incredibly positive experience this has been.
First of all, to each and every one of you who was kind enough to leave me a comment, thank you, and I’m now able to respond. Please know your generous words both humbled and inspired me, and I’m finding it impossible to determine to whom the $10 Starbucks Card should be sent. I’ll get there, but must confess I just don’t know how.
“The Promise” is not a snippet from a book, but a short story that was inspired by the picture. I downloaded it from Shutterstock some time ago because I thought it stunningly beautiful, and over the last few weeks, I have wondered what it would be like to have my bottom bared in such frigid conditions, only to have it warmed by a delicious Dominant with whom I was madly in love.
As I settled down to write, staring at the image, not only could I feel the cold, but the emptiness of the bench leapt out at me. It wasn’t just a bench, it was a special bench, and seconds later, “The Promise” was born.
But now, thanks to this blog and your responses, The Promise will become a book, and this short story will indeed become a snippet.
Many, many, thanks –
Maggie
