When I awoke this morning, the poetic prose of the Mysterious Dom (see previous post – In The Dom’s Own Words) was floating through my mind, like a golden leaf hovering on a gentle breeze, then drifting to the ground on a cool autumn day. When I am in the whirlwind of writing a book, the characters and their licentious, hedonistic habits, envelope me, take me on their journey, as though I have no control over them whatsoever. They become my covert, invisible friends, and I think about them all the time. (No it’s not a cheap plug, but if you want to see my D/s novels check them out on Amazon – just search, Maggie Carpenter author)
In the middle of a hectic day, should I have the luxury of laying down for a quick 20 minute power nap, they wander in, uninvited, and permeate my sleep. They carouse, they laugh, crops rise and fall, Doms are heroes and their submissives are grateful for their Master’s depraved attention. Spankings and bondage rituals abound. I am shadowed by their faces, and the indulgent surrender to their lascivious needs.
I now find myself experiencing the same intrusion with this blog. The message from the Mysterious Dom who read my words and expressed himself so artfully, sharing his intimate view of his experience with a wanton woman, and the romance of the moment with that woman, will haunt my days. That he so gracefully validated my work, is icing on the proverbial cake, for which I thank him, most sincerely.
This blog is new with just a handful of followers. To you, the few that are kind enough to read my musings, I am very grateful. It’s a lonely little world, sitting here in front of my computer, but this morning it feels less so.
